Good afternoon, Mr. McInnes,

My name is Will Carless, I’m a national correspondent with USA TODAY.

I am writing a story about the Wisconsin chapter of the Proud Boys. I was contacted by several current and former members of the group after Enrique Tarrio launched a harassment campaign against me on Telegram. These men described being attracted to the Proud Boys because of the initial tenets of the group that you founded. They agreed with those tenets, and wanted to be part of an organization they saw as noble and important.

All the men I have spoken with describe the Wisconsin Proud Boys chapter as a den of sadistic bullying and cruelty towards prospective members and actual Proud Boys alike. They say that the only way to rise up the ranks of the Proud Boys is to display fealty to white supremacy and to espouse anti-Semitism. They point out that the Wisconsin Proud Boys is overwhelmingly (if not exclusively) white. In short, they say it is a white supremacist group masquerading as a drinking club.

If you would like to comment for my story, you can reach me here or on my cell phone, which is in my signature. I’m curious as to your thoughts about the direction that this group has taken.

Please be in touch if you would like to comment.

Sincerely

Will Carless

I don’t believe that the Proud Boys who contacted you are Proud Boys. There are massive disinformation campaigns surrounding this club and just about every article about them is bullshit. I also don’t believe a white supremacist chapter of the Proud Boys is being formed in Wisconsin.
However, if some imbeciles think they can reform the club and change it’s most basic tenets, they are as mistaken as someone starting a Knights of Columbus chapter that is anti-Catholic and pro-abortion.
The bylaws make it very clear (FULL UPLOAD OF BYLAWS IS BELOW – THIS IS BACK WHEN I WAS PRESIDENT).

Article V Membership

Section 1: Eligibility and Non-Discrimination.

  1. (b)  No person eligible for membership in the Fraternity shall be discriminated against or denied membership in the Fraternity on the basis of race, color, national origin, veteran status, disability, religion, marital status or sexual orientation.
  2. (c)  A person that believes in the inherent supremacy of any one race over another, or who is a member of any organization promoting the supremacy of any one race over another, may not become or remain a member of this Fraternity. This includes any person who currently identified as white nationalist, white supremacist, or alt-right, or any person who is a member of any organization identifying as such.

Also, at the beginning of every meeting of every chapter, there is a speech that includes, “We don’t care what race you are or what your sexual preference is. The only pre-requisite of this organization is that you are a man and you recognize the West is the best.”

To change any of this is to start a new club.

You said you write about antifa and cover all kinds of hate. This is fake news. Look at your last 20 articles. You are obsessed with white supremacy and you’re apparently convinced some disgruntled rednecks meandering into the capitol is an “extremist insurrection.”
I obviously dislike you because you’re retarded. The only journalism jobs for white males these days must include ethnomasochism and the fact that you’re so happy to oblige makes me sick. However, this is why you’re dangerous for America: you normalize Nazism. When you say the Proud Boys are white supremacists, people who know them or know of them think, “Oh, I like those guys. I guess I like white supremacists.”
BUT wait, it gets worse.
When you spotlight some dumb rumor about the club going full white nationalist, a much more sinister option arrives. Blacks and gays and Jews etc. go, “I guess this club isn’t for me” and leave. Subsequently, bonafide white nationalists then become attracted to it. In other words, you are creating hate where it wasn’t previously. This is why we call the SPLC a hate group. You are part of this movement. You facilitate hate.
Go fuck yourself.

  1. I was contacted by this moron about donating to Proud Boys who were knifed by BLM. You’re one of the good guys, Gavin. Too bad Proud Boys are over. They had much positive potential, but alas, self discipline must be maintained for survival.

    1. Hey guess what everyone: “the Proud Boys are over!” So saith Mike.

Choke on a dick, Retardo. We’re over when WE say we’re over.

  2. They have been designated as a Terrorist Group in Canada, based on nothing, or the false information that Gavin is referring to, so there is that problem.
