KAMALA FAILED TO PROSECUTE MS-13 GANG MEMBER BEFORE HE MURDERED FAMILY OF THREE

An illegal immigrant and known member of the MS-13 gang was arrested but did not get prosecuted by Kamala Harris when she was San Francisco District Attorney, reports Breitbart News.

Just months after his arrest, illegal alien Edwin Ramos would go on to murder three members of the same family while they were driving home from a barbecue in San Francisco.

On June 22, 2008, while Harris was DA of San Francisco, Tony Bologna, 48, and his three sons—Michael, 20, Andrew, 18, and Matthew, 16—were randomly shot in their car by Ramos, according to Breitbart News. All three Bologna sons were killed. At the time, prosecutors said Ramos shot the family in a case of mistaken identity, believing them to be rival gang members who were involved in a different gang murder that day.

At the time, the mother of the three murdered sons, Danielle Bologna, pled for prosecutors to seek the death penalty, but Harris’s office refused and instead recommended a life sentence for Ramos.

Three months before the grisly murder, Ramos had a run-in with San Francisco police, according to the San Francisco Gate. At that time, cops warned Harris that Ramos was a member of the violent, bloodthirsty MS-13 gang who previously had multiple run-ins with law enforcement.

Even with those warnings, Harris refused to prosecute the illegal alien and gang member. During that encounter, officers pulled Ramos over because his car had illegally tinted windows and no front license plate. He also was accompanied by a man who tried to discard a gun which police recovered and then concluded had been used in a double killing, according to the San Francisco Gate.

That police report mentioned “numerous documented contacts” between police. The report also states Ramos and his companion who tried to discard the firearm were members of the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang.

Nonetheless, Harris’s office refused to file charges against Ramos in the initial case. Her office told law enforcement there was no evidence Ramos knew his companion had the gun, the San Francisco Gate wrote in another report.

The Los Angeles Times reported in July 2008 that Ramos had been arrested on a weapons violation and spent several days in jail before being released while Harris’s office decided to prosecute his companion but not him.

The Los Angeles Times noted that deportation proceedings against Ramos could have been initiated but were not. The San Francisco Sheriff’s Department, which runs the jail where Ramos was being held, contacted federal immigration officials only once, at 3:44am on April 2, two hours after Ramos already had been released, according to ICE spokesman Tim Counts, reports the Times.

In 2012, Ramos was convicted for the Bologna murders. He appealed his conviction, but it was upheld by a California appellate court in 2014.

Harris, who is the current vice presidential running mate of Democrat nominee Joe Biden, has long supported nationwide sanctuary policies that wold protect illegal immigrants from being turned over to federal officials for deportation.
