Dana White, the man in charge of mixed martial arts sports giant UFC, put out a five-minute video knocking out those accusing him of “endangering” employees by continuing to hold fights despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the video clip, White displays names of members of the press who lambasted him, as well as featuring their voices and pictures as they attacked White and the UFC for having their fights during the coronavirus pandemic.

Journalists have heaped accusations onto White and the UFC for “putting people in danger” as the sports franchise continues to operate. In spite of the blame game, the UFC has had no major outbreaks of COVID-19 involving staff or competitors.

In the video, White puts his foot down on what he calls the “negativity” from biased media members.

The UFC boss says in the video, “I’m not afraid of the media. Why should anyone listen to the media? Who are these people? What makes them experts? What have they ever accomplished? They criticize me for even trying to find a way forward, because it’s easy to criticize from the sidelines when you risk nothing and do nothing. But we need to fight this thing. Instead of panicking, let’s find solutions.”

“The media are not in the news business,” White added in the video, “they are in the clickbait business. They think negativity sells and gets clicks. So that’s what they deliver. Negativity is their product. But I’m not going to let that stop us.”

White also had previous news clips of himself added in declaring “I don’t give a fuck,” and “there is no way to make a sporting even 100 percent safe for everybody.”

In a tweet Monday, White says there is always a way to solve a problem.

“As we roll into 2021, I just wanted to remind everyone there’s ALWAYS a solution to every problem! So, cut through all the bullshit, and don’t let these people that don’t matter tell you how to live your life,” he posted on his official account.

“It’s up to YOU to take care of your business, your family, your employees, and those you care about!!! #kickassin2021,” White stated.

The UFC has had three major fight cards since the pandemic and is known to put staff through stringent testing for the coronavirus. The UFC claims that they have personally had over 28,000 COVID tests conducted. White assured his employees and the public that “We are going to do everything above and beyond to make sure that everybody is safe.”

“The media said I was risking people’s health to line my own pockets. I didn’t do this so I can make more money. I have plenty of money. I did this so my fighters can make money and my employees can continue to make a living and feed their families.”

White explains in the video that he even secured an island—one he’s dubbed “Fight Island”—to host all the international competition. In the throes of most global sports organizations shutting down for the lockdown’s duration, the UFC boasts that its strategy and courage to go against the grain has caused store sales to shoot up 135% in 2020—a record high for the company.
